Bev Psalm 52: Law of Witnesses

A story unfolds on the 23rd of September 1827

almost two hundred years ago on the Hill

Cumorah, in Manchester, Ontario, New York.

A young boy visits the sacred place where

an ancient record has been hidden.

Years pass, one by one, with an angel from

   God’s presence instructing him.

Joseph Smith, Jr. translated this ancient

record written on shining golden plates

into modern speech by the gift and power of

God, as testified by eleven witnesses who

saw them, and heard the voice of the Lord

   command them to bear record.

Out of these documents that testify of its verity,

It has been published to the world in 1830 as the

Book of Mormon.

Now is the day when all people of every nation

read it in their own language.

May God’s light shed forth upon all His children.

Receive my word; then I reveal more!

Bev Psalm 51: Sacred Words

Action words found, reveal truths profound.

Words written twice add emphasis.

What was hidden now becomes known.

God sends forth His words to a world so hungry

for hope and truth, peace and rest.

Once hid up by prophets of old, from the earth

   His doctrine shines so convincing.

The plan of salvation outlined, and delivered.

Will we abide in the precepts presented;

study and ponder, ask and gain a

   testimony of this divine translation?

Consequences follow:

Turn away and be separated from God to

   progress no more;

Accept the invitation and blessings will

pour, like living water, leaving us to

   desire more.

Daily Walks with the Savior

Strong faith requires more than strong desire.

It means daily trying, one step at a time, with prayer and scripture learning.

For the next 25 weeks you will see me WALK with my Savior here.

I am counting on the Spirit to magnify my influence in an unprecedented way.

I will rise to my full stature, fulfill the measure of my creation and help

prepare the world for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

President Dallin H. Oaks has promised that if we focus on developing faith

in God and the mission of His son, Jesus Christ, we and our families

will find contentment in a world of challenging times.

He has invited us to act upon the truths we find in the conference talks

and share them with others; study and ponder their words

prayerfully and act in faith on the principles they explain.

The Lord has promised, "unto him that receiveth I will give more."

This leads to my daily reading in the Book of Mormon, four pages a day

and sharing here the action phrases that I find.

I will add my witness of what great things the Lord has done and

what great things he continues to do.

The future holds great promise for you and me as we follow His

covenant path of faith, repentance, baptism and receiving the gift

of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of authorized priesthood hands.
